One of the readers of my Swedish blog sent me this link on myths about circumcision. It looks fairly well researched, so I thought I’d link to it as a resource.

    100 babies a year die in the US as a result of circumcision? That is horrifying and that alone should be reason enough to ban this barbaric practice.

    And even if that death rate was zero, what excuse could there be to inflict that pain and damage to an innocent child?

    Ban all genital mutilation now. It is the only ethical way.

    Yea FGM and MGM is a practice that should be banned, for the sake of our children and coming generations.

    I agree. Civilized countries shouldn’t allow any kind of cutting in the genitals of children.

    Once you’re an adult it’s up to you if you want to do any cosmetic surgery, but leave innocent children alone.
